Female starfish by the beach, underwater.
I picked the starfish up and examined it. Divers in the area said it was female because it didn't have a 'horn' in the center. There was one male starfish around to compare this to.
I turned the starfish over and could really see and feel how alive it still was as its body moved while I was holding it.

Miss Elle, that was my first time to hold a starfish actually. It was a great experience and it was a good thing I was able to take pictures to share over the net. :)
