A Disease That Can Be Avoided

According to Wikipedia, Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that is almost always caused by previous exposure to asbestos. I haven’t personally encountered anyone or heard from anyone I know of someone who has had this condition. And I am thankful that I haven’t because since a lot of information is already available about it and its cause, it should be expected that these cases would be reduced or avoided. But I feel bad for those who have this disease, and if it was work related, I hope that their families would be able help them get justice for their situation and that employers who are making things hard for them would eventually be held liable.
